QBASIC $54.86 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles QBasic is an IDE and interpreter for a variant of the BASIC programming language which is based on QuickBasic. Code entered into the IDE is compiled to an intermediate form, and this intermediate form is immediately interpreted on demand within the IDE. It can run under nearly all versions of DOS and Windows, or through DOSBox/DOSEMU, on Linux and FreeBSD. For its time, QBasic provided a stateoftheart IDE, including a debugger with features such as onthefly expression evaluation and code modification. Like QuickBASIC, but unlike earlier versions of Microsoft BASIC, QBasic is a structured programming language, supporting constructs such as subroutines and while loops. Line numbers, a concept often associated with BASIC, are supported for compatibility, but are not considered good form, having been replaced by descriptive line labels. Aus Wikipedia. Nicht dargestellt. Auszug: FreeDOS (formerly Free-DOS and PD-DOS) is an operating system for IBM PC compatible computers. FreeDOS is made up of many different, separate programs that act as "packages" to the overall FreeDOS Project. As a member of the DOS family, it provides mainly disk access through its kernel, and partial memory management, but no default GUI (although OpenGEM is listed on the official FreeDOS website). FreeDOS is currently at version 1.0, released on September 3, 2006. FreeDOS supports vintage hardware IBM PC as well as modern ones, in addition to embedded computers. Unlike MS-DOS, it is composed of free and open source software, licensed under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL). It does not require license fees or royalties and creation of custom distributions is permitted. However, in its "util" section, it includes non-GPL software such as 4DOS. FreeDOS has a sparsely-populated IRC channel, #freedos, on irc.i7c.org. The FreeDOS project began June 29, 1994, after Microsoft announced it would no longer sell or support MS-DOS. Jim Hall then posted a manifesto proposing the development of an open-source replacement. Within a few weeks, other programmers including Pat Villani and Tim Norman joined the project. A kernel, the COMMAND.COM command line interpreter and core utilities were created by pooling code they had written or found available. There have been several official pre-release distributions of FreeDOS before the final FreeDOS 1.0 distribution. GNU/DOS, a distribution of FreeDOS, was discontinued after version 1.0 was released. FreeDOS 1.0 is available for download as CD-ROM images: a base disc that only contains the kernel and basic applications, and a full disc that contains many more applications (games, net…http://booksllc.net/?l=de |

Software Patents and Free Software $81.25 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Opposition to software patents is widespread in the free software community. In response, various mechanisms have been tried to defuse the perceived problem. Patent holders can require infringers of their patents to take out a license to continue using an invention covered by the patent, which may or may not require payment of a fee. Otherwise, the infringer must stop infringing the patent, possibly by removing or modifying the patented feature so that the product no longer infringes. This possibility may be easier with software than other types of inventions since computer program often perform many different functions or a similar result may be achieved in a different, noninfringing manner. Nevertheless, the software may not be useful without the patented feature. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Tennoe, Mariam T./ Henssonow, Susan F. A Course in Programming with QBASIC $24.89 This book was originally published in China in 1995. This is the first English edition. This book is a complete text book on QBASIC programming. It assumes that the reader knows very little and builds up to quite an advanced level. It contains some obsolete material, such as MS-DOS. This was intentional, as it is intended to match the original Chinese edition. QBASIC still continues to be used. Nowadays if people want QBASIC to run on their computer, they need to download QB64. The latest version of this was released on 21st August 2009. QBASIC, or QB64 as it is now called, is a very good choice for a first programming language, as you can achieve a lot with very little effort. |
Free Software Qbasic
Help for the beginner programmer (software)?
Hi im new to programming and I read some books and find it very interesting, but now I want to start practicing it So are there and publishers are free to work, or with C + + and Qbasic and any advice would be great, thank you.
For a free editor for Windows, take a look at Notepad + + or Notepad2. Notepad replacements are a number of programmer-friendly features. I use a similar program, TextPad, which is not free - but not too expensive either you can try for free. I guess you can use an external code editor QBasic programs, but beware QBasic to reformat the source of the load - not for the conventions of personal space, bleeding or capitalization that you used in your editor off can be lost when you start QBasic to run or debug the program. For C + +, consider an IDE ("Integrated Development Environment"). Much people like DevC + +. One of the many free tools that offers a front-end to GNU / C C + + compiler and debugger. Others include Qt Builder Code:: Blocks, Eclipse and Netbeans. You can also use the free Microsoft Visual C + + Express Edition for Windows Development (DevC + + is only for Windows, too ... others run on multiple platforms.) Many of these support multiple languages (Qt Creator and MSVC + + Express C + + only) but none of them support QBasic, all I know. QB is quite old and Microsoft has not included in the Windows distribution for Windows / ME.
