Download Songs from Rhapsody and Napster for free by Samuel
I think till now many people know that napster and rhapsody will let you download subscription tracks under trial or subscription.
But the Problem with them is if you cancel subscription or cancel your trial then the subscription songs(your favourite songs) that you’ve downloaded till now will no longer be playable and are of no use, just occupying your hard disk’s space, waiting for you to delete them.
Every one wants to keep those tracks permanently with them without any DRM applied to it, so you can transfer to your ipod, mp3 player unlimited number of times, and also to burn CDs unlimitedly to listen in your car.How nice if it will be like that.Hmmmm……………..
Here you go break the rules of DRM and also download tracks for free on free trial and save them permanently………..
There are two major steps in this process:
1.Downloading music for free
2.Removing the DRM applied to it.
(A) Downloading music for free
Hacking Napster and Rhapsody:
step 1: Sign up for a free trial
Napster trial:

Non United States users must use Proxy servers to sign up for free trial as people from other countries except some like UK,Germany etc. are not allowed by Napster and Rhapsody.

step 2: After signing up for trial download the software given to you by Napster and Rhapsody.
step 3: Download music free using their software.
It’s easy.
Napster:just sign in using software and search for your favorite artist, you get a list of tracks, albums etc.., just right click on track and click download track(don’t click purchase)
Rhapsody:sign in with rhapsody software and browse in rhapsody music guide in the left column.Search for your artists, you’ll get a list of songs,..etc. Before the name of the track you can find a “+” sign in a blue box. Just click that to add that song to your library.
Now you have to go to My Library on left of rhapsody.There you can find the song that you’ve added, the track type will be subscription.Right click on it and click download track.To download track you have to be signed in.
Now finish downloading tracks.This downloading is free and you’ll not be charged for downloading.These are subscription tracks with DRM applied to it.
(B)Removing DRM applied to tracks:
Now download software called soundtaxi from here :
Soundtaxi:
Install soundtaxi and convert the subscription tracks that you’ve downloaded from napster and rhapsody.Soundtaxi will convert it to aac.mp3 etc but not wma.
You can use another converter called free mp3 to wma converter to convert those mp3′s of soundtaxi into wma,wav,ogg etc

Not only this you can use any software to convert those converted tracks by soundtaxi into any other software.
But I recommend free wma converter because it keeps the ID3 tag conserved without losing information about the song.Many other software like Super,wmencoder will only convert track and lose the ID3 tag.
Hurray you’ve converted those subscription tracks into Non DRM tracks. You’ve saved them permanently.
Before your trial ends cancel your subscription so that you wont be charged a penny, but saved all tracks you love for free.
Just download as many tracks as you can in trial period and you have to convert them in this trial period only. Because after trial period the Original subscription tracks that we convert will no longer work.So if you convert those tracks within trial period only then you can keep those tracks permanently.
Start transferring the tracks to mp3 players and burn them cds…………………
