I used the phone for about a month. Everything was good except battery. I never paid attention, just close the phone when the battery is out. The volume is very small compared to another Nokia phone. The best phone / wireless device for the price

6 Month Review
I took the 5800 and have been using 6 months. I bought the phone at first because I wanted a phone more feature rich and an unlocked phone which allowed me more freedom than the standard subsidized mobile. I took the risk and bought the 5800 sight unseen. Part of my decision was based on specifications and prices for these amazing specifications. He did not regrets.I their property for six months and I still have problems to implement this phone! LOL
Heres some of my thoughts and some tips and tricks.
Call quality is excellent. Voice still clear sound, metallic sound or distorted. The speaker that I often use is also very good. Many people give and are willing to put up with poor call quality when the phone is sexy and is quick with lots of eye candy. I'm not. In fact, I use my cell phone to talk. So, call quality is always most important to me.
Connectivity …. Data transfer using Nokia's software library is very simple. The USB works perfectly. I use it all the time to transfer music, photos, and my pc. I also use it to save the contents of my phone and schedule of activities.
Bluetooth works decently. The only problem I have with him is that he seems to have the range I've experienced with other phones. I like being able to use Voice dial a Bluetooth headset. The whole issue of "hands free"
The user interface and performance …. I know that Symbian is outdated and unfair. I matter. I know that does'nt have the intuition of an iPhone or Android eye-candy, but the operating system Symbian on the 5800 works very well for me. For me it is a stable, mature and easy to use user interface. Good applications, both free and paid are abundant around the web.
I learned a few things to keep the phone working properly … Do not get bogged down with a bunch of useless programs. Nokia 5800 – My first smartphone
I bought this phone three weeks ago and were very satisfied with the purchase. This phone is perfect for someone who does not want to pay $ 30 per month for a data plan, and has not yet been converted to use the iPhone interface (I agree is more intuitive if you are with the fingers). Make sure to update the latest firmware v40. The feature set is impressive and GPS is better than the line (ie, GPS can be used without a data plan), expandable memory, multitasking, replaceable battery (essential I think the batteries are usually the first component – in my humble opinion iPhone fail on a phone), handwriting recognition, surround sound stereo speakers (music speaker is also the best I've seen).
I like the fact that it has integrated a pencil. When my fingers are dirty / sweaty I can avoid touching the screen. The WiFi works very well – but I suggest you do not use the browser Nokia. I downloaded Opera Mobile and Skyfire and free browsers are impressive. Web pages are rendered as if I'm in my office! I can even watch videos in Flash, unlike the iPhone. The camera could be better compared to other phones on the market, but not much since I prefer to use a real digital camera to take pictures anyway. The picture quality on a phone can not match high-end digital cameras due to the small sensor size and lens on a phone. However, it remains the best device camera phone I've ever had. Love the dual LED flash. You can even use a flashlight using a free application available on Ovi Store!
Another feature I like is that the phone has two cameras. It can be used for video chats. It is still possible in the iPhone, since it has only one camera. The size of the phone is thicker, lighter and narrower than the iPhone, thus easier to remember.
