Cork is a vibrant city in southern Ireland and has endless shopping opportunities. You will find all the usual shops of Main Street, shops shoe materials, libraries and designer boutiques, antique shops and souvenirs. Most shops are open from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday) Many open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in the run up to Christmas. Most shops and department stores are generally open Sunday (usually 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.) during December and there are many grocery stores 24 hours.
The main shopping area in central the city is Patrick Street. Here excellent fashion stores, books, music, crafts and jewelry – basically anything that could be on your shopping list. Center Merchants Quay Shopping home to major retailers such as Marks & Spencer, Dunnes Stores, Debenhams, SuperValu, Adams, 3G phones, Laura Ashley shoes and Brian De STAIC.
