Toilet / Potty Training Guide

Toilet or potty training can be difficult and sometimes frustrating for parents and young children. This guide provides a guide to common sense in the preparation of toilet training and navigating to success.

Toilet or potty training can be a frustrating time for parents and children. My wife and I arrive at the end of potty training our son, but I wish we had prepared earlier to make the process easier for all of us.

Most children learn to control his bladder and bowels later, two to three years old. Often, girls before boys. Most parents, (well at least my wife and me!) Actually just start thinking about the toilet when your child reaches about both.

However, there are plenty of preparation you can do before that age for a child comfortable and acclimated idea of going to the toilet before the experiment begins.

Talk with your child when they need to go to the bathroom. "Are you peed? "Are you a poo?" Teaching stimulating say when empty their bladders and bowel movements.

the weather is ideal for layers these discussions. "You've done a shit. Soon you will bath in the morning and shit like a big boy or a girl." Talk in weeks or months before starting the toilet.

Read the stories and see the children's programs on DVD or toilet training (like going to the bathroom by Elmo Time). Observed adult siblings or more when you go to the bathroom and see what is natural and normal.
Who will pull the chain and buy a seat Special and footrest to the toilet and sink to feel confident and able to wash your hands afterwards with ease.

Around the age of two, Your child should be well prepared and able to sit on the toilet every diaper change. At first, it is usually fairly easy to obtain this feeling, while enjoying the excitement of being a big boy or girl. After feeling the difference may be difficult to encourage them to remain seated.

Praise them for sitting on the toilet, regardless of their success. Give them a call a standing ovation from a record label five or whenever you're sitting on the toilet, even briefly. Then put them back on a reuse of layers (layers even if it is dry), then follow the routine of going to the bathroom to use a small amount of paper, rinsing and hand washing.

Praise in front of other people on how they are raised to sit on the toilet. I love it! Our son wanted to show visitors how he could sit on the toilet itself.

To promote success while on the toilet, you must spend some time at the beginning. It's a good idea to keep a small basket of books in bathroom to sit and read them when you sit there. That morning for the first time in the bathroom is a great thing for parents and kids!

Put them in a normal toilet to "go" time, such as lifting after meals, before a bath and before bedtime.

After adequate preparation (weeks or months, depending on the child) begins to show warning signs for health. Sometimes with words, sometimes by taking actions such as layers or kicking. It is now time for pants training.

To begin, take them to the bathroom every hour. Do not give them the option for you, just tell them: "It Time to services, "and I hold your hand.

sooner or later, two years are beginning to oppose when they realize they must stop playing for some time to go to the bathroom. At that time, do not let them leave the toilet until they are seated and "fact." They know what to do for now. Encourage them by saying things like "As soon as you can go wee'd drawing, playing with her favorite toy etc. "

Wed positive and praise small accomplishments. Accidents happen. Do not scold them. Talk to him and say "Wow, who urinated on the floor. We pee in the toilet right? Next time I'll use the bathroom "It may also encourage them to say when they should go after the accident to complete the routine grooming -.. sit on the toilet paper, toilet flushing and hand washing. If they do go through the routine will soon see the benefits to pee in your pants.

Once a child is in his pants during the day, not to return to the layers, except for periods sleep. It's too complicated for children to work when in a layer are and when they are in the pants. After an accident, is back in his pants. Sorry!

Of course, there are times when pants are not appropriate. Huggies pull ups are ideal for toilet training when they leave. Do not use as a diaper. However, they offer peace of mind If children do not have the toilet in time.

To reduce accidents, while the production:

bring your child to the bathroom before departure
bring your child to the bathroom between stores
take bath with you in the car in an emergency
clothes with you.

The routine is still time must be maintained during your absence.

Most children wet their beds at night after being dry for the day. Keep them in diapers at night and take them to the bathroom soon you wake up.

Consistency between home care and child care providers or others is very important. Remember to be positive and enjoy with your child every success. Good luck and I hope this guide will help you through this sometimes difficult process!
