How can I combine two Excel tables using an ID of the column?

I have two tables have different (variable length) in Excel, but both have an identical column. You should have two tables aligned side by side the other columns so that idientical game (if that makes sense). I used a trial software from here (http://www.digdb.com/excel_add_ins/join_merge_tables_lists/) before, but wondered if anyone knows any other way of doing things, or free software that could help me? Any help would be greatly appreciated that's me save you days of manual alignment! Thank you
