AVG Free 8.0 is a software anti-virus something? Or should I pay:)?

Hey guys, I got my computer fixed and play the other day and the type of technology that AVG Anti-Virus Free 8.0 on it (I had Norton) and told me it was so good in full version for free. I'm not sure. Do I pay the full version of AVG? or if someone of you know of any other Antivirus package i can make them good? All help on this is greatly appreciated!

I used AVG free for over a year and a half. It updates daily scans files you download and run a full system scan every week (I can put it). I've never had a problem with it or a virus. Probably not as elegant as an interface for Norton, but I had two AVG free and seems faster. Although I get updates AVG free, no purchase is necessary full version unless you want to support technical and other advanced features. Normally what I do in the pursuit of software is to go to download.com and see some of the comments and the skills to decide which software to be tested. I would say its fine with the software you have.
