Are you a geek? Love gadgets? computer expert? As the piracy of software and hardware right? If you are a geek. Believe it or not, you're more or less like me. Well now we can not fight for the definition of a geek.

Here is a list of software (all free) for geeks, in my opinion. You can download by clicking on each of their names:

Firefox / Chrome: The dogs in the Web browser in the world not only recommended for everyone, but also a geek playground. If you use Internet Explorer and you consider yourself an expert in technology, think again, then think again, and I think you have one of these browsers installed.

Notepad + +: This is another indispensable tool for a geek. Notepad included with Windows is fine. It's simple, with all features for web design, and all it takes a normal person. But you're a geek. You must have Notepad + +. It is assumed the color coding when you design web, has more features and everything you can imagine. Oh, yes, and open code.

Dropbox: Wow, the perfect tool for synchronizing files. It is the last option (especially for geeks, once more) for synchronization and backup. It is free, but there are many limitations. The free account gets a decent 2 GB storage line which can be extended to a rate, but never felt the need. You can also get an extra 250 MB to complete the tutorial, and more space for instructions here. Dropbox is magical. You can download any file, regardless of their size (unless you exceed the size of your account), and best of all, it behaves like any other folder on your computer, with the added functionality in constant synchronization.

7-Zip, WinZip is so outdated. Itself is not free. 7-Zip is low light, and open source, so it is completely Free. Windows comes with a fine file extractor. But you can not remove the newer, more types of archives. 7-Zip is expanding capacity through integration with your operating system and can eliminate almost all types of archives. Is the compression utility Max.

ÂμTorrent: Hey now, torrents are not illegal. It depends on what you download. Torrents can be very useful software for downloading large, and if you're a geek, you need to know torrents. ÂμTorrent application is the best torrent out there. To be taken. CCleaner: The Geek their choice on the computer cleaning utilities. You can clean all the dirt cleanup clean disk, and many things that other applications leave behind. You can also clean the registry and the work from a flash drive without any problem, for use on other computers.

You have a hard drive here with a load of bad sectors that belongs to my boss. Lost a couple of personal records, business information and some linked. I'm working on a couple of tools, but I'm a little rusty on that side of things. Can anyone recommend a powerful or very powerful data recovery software?
